For a roof… Best to get a professional! That way if anything goes wrong, it’s THEIR fault, not yours and you are insured against their faulty work. A roof is a rather major, not to mention important, piece of a building and it can result in damage to many parts of the building if not properly done.
If it’s about saving money… Think about the risk you take on by doing it yourself! If you’re that inexperienced, then there is a high chance of something not being done correctly – which will then cost money to fix! You may well end up spending more on having to fix up an incorrectly installed roof than you would on having a professional do it right the first time. Shop around – get several quotes and ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask why Quote #1 is X amount more Quote #2 and why it has 3 extra things listed?
Remember – you get what you pay for!!!
